Sofia Lodén Elected Member of the Young Academy of Sweden

Sofia Lodén, one of the Swedish Collegium's current Pro Futura Scientia Fellows, has been elected
Member of the Young Academy of Sweden. Lodén is one of eight scholars who were presented as
new members by the Academy today.

Sofia Lodén is Researcher at the Department of Romance Studies and Classics at Stockholm University,
and was admitted to the Pro Futura Scientia Programme in 2017. She was in residence at the Collegium
in the academic year 2018-19. Lodén joins current Pro Futura Fellow Aryo Makko as well as former Pro
Futura Fellows Virginia Langum and Jonas Olofsson as a member of the Academy.

The Young Academy of Sweden is an independent, interdisciplinary forum for the most promising
young researchers in Sweden. Its operations rest on four pillars: internationalization, outreach, science
policy, and transdisciplinarity. The criteria for election are scientific excellence and a proven interest
and engagement in the Academy’s areas of interest. The Academy was founded in 2011 on the initiative
of the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences.
